Vision for Children’s Ministry
The first purpose of ministry is to make disciples. We are committed to excellence in communicating to our children the truths of Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ in a culturally relevant, accurate, clear, and practical manner. Through a deliberate strategy our children will be taught the truths of God’s Word, will learn about the person of Jesus Christ, and will be instructed on how to serve and minister to others. This will be done through a variety of classes, special programs, and events. To maintain the health and vitality of our children’s programs we will continually develop and train leaders for all areas of ministry.
Join us for Sunday School at 9:45am each Sunday!Children ranging in age from nursery to 5th grade are invited to attend our Sunday School hour. Children in K-5th will meet in the gathering room for singing time with Mrs. Joyce. Preschoolers will begin in their Sunday school rooms and gather at 10 AM for singing with Mrs. Joyce. Parents with nursery aged children are invited to attend a Sunday School class in the nursery, where their children are free to play. Parents of preK-5th grade students should pick their children up prior to the worship service.
Nursery is provided during the worship service for infants and toddlers. Preschoolers and Elementary aged children will participate in worship with their family. After the weekly Children’s Sermon, our preschoolers and kindergarteners will have the option to be taken downstairs to Children’s Church. Parents are asked to pick them up after the service. Older children are invited to continue to participate in the service. We welcome you to visit our Children’s Ministry table in the foyer for more information and to pick up engaging activities to assist older children in actively participating in the service.
